PPPoA vc-mux howto?

It seems that a few people have been capable of setting up a PPPoA vc-mux connection with Astaro. To me it is unclear how to do this. Could someone be so kind to explain this to me?

I have a few questions concerning:
1) ADSL connection (to KPN network) using PPPoA with vc-mux encapsulation. 
a) This requires to set VPI to 8 and VCI to 48 where can I configure this? 
b) When I configure the eth1 interface (connected to the modem) I have to fill in the following fields:
    i) Modem IP address 
    ii) NIC IP address
    iii) NIC network mask[/list]
      I suppose that i)  is the IP address of the modem on the ethernet connection connected to the eth1 connection of the Astaro box with ip-nr ii) and submask iii)? or .....

    Will the class A network address still be assigned to the modem since I would expect that it somehow would be assiged to the eth1 connection.

    2) Modem (e-tech annex-a adsl modem/router) in bridge mode. 
    I don't want the modem to do the NAT. Let it just pass the IP traffic to the firewall. 
    a) Do I need to use MAC spoofing on the modem or is this done automatically when I put it in bridge mode or is this not relevant at all? 
    b) does someone have a complete manual available for this device or know where I can get one?

    3) Is there anything else I should know?

    One other thing I forgot to mention: The modem also supports half bridge mode. The manual says I have to use this option in order to connect to KPN. 

    Do I still have to use the PPPoA configuration option in this case on the Astaro box or should I use a normal ethernet connection?

    After I recieved the full manual from e-tech it became obvious to me that the requested functionality was not available with the e-tech modem. Looking around on the web I found several sites explaining that SIP spoofing was the magical world (do your research in advance ;-D). I modem that works well is a speedtouch 510. The configuration is simpel on both sides. The modem side is explained on several websites, a good and working example can be found   here. The astora box requires the nic to be configured as a standard ethernet interface with a fixed ip or as a dhcp client depending on your ISP.

    Believe it or not, PPPoA doesn't work "out of the box" on the current build of Astaro.If you have a look at your packet logs and see if traffic on port 1723 (pptp) is getting dropped to the modem. There is a fix from Astaro for this, but we had a number of sites running the PPPoA and it was unstable.

    We then switched to the Alcatel 510 using DHCP spoofing. This allows the firewall to get the real ip from the modem. We had a bit of trouble with the Alcatel 510, after a couple of weeks the modem stopped working. Alcatel New Zealand provided us with new firmware last week, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Alcatel has told us that they have re-done the way they do DHCP spoofing and it is meant to be heaps better.
