Protected Network Devices (IPS): 10

I am new to ASL. I just registered the home version and it says there are 10 protected Network Devices with this license. I have 4 printers for different things and each one has a network address. Plus 2 wireless access points that have IP's, 3 computers in my local LAN, 2 that I want to put into my DMZ and 1 for the firewall itself. This equals 12. Just curious, does this mean that I will have 2 unprotected computers? I only have 5 IPs from my ISP so all systems except for the 2 dmz systems (once they are setup) will have internal IP's.

firebear,

all IP devices behind the firewall have to counted as protected IP addresses regardless if the addresses can be seen
on the firewall.

Hello Oliver,
is it what you say that if in my network are 2000 ip's and only 100 ip's are communicating with the Internet than i have to buy a licence for 2000 ip's anyway ? [:S]

yes, this is the asl license model, because the asl protect all this ip´s whatever connect to the internet. protection is the keyword.

Not sure how it counts the IP's. At the moment, I have 3 computers with one internal IP each on the LAN. I have one computer with one nic on the DMZ. So there are also 3 nics on the firewall with one external IP. Some times I get emails saying that it is protecting 3 IPs and sometimes I get an email saying that it is protecting 10 IP's. Any idea how it counts the IP's?

I'd like to know too, I'm running up against 7 to 9 protected IPs. I want to know what happens when you run over that limit...
