Anybody have a clue how i config my ASL if my ISP block port 25 for me? Before i use ASL for my outgoing mail but now i can´t do it becuse my ISP block port 25 for me.
You will need to send your mail out on port 80 to a server that will relay back from 80 to 25; so this will entail having a friend or ISP host a mail server for the dedicated purposes of relaying (for example, see What do I do if I have trouble connecting?). Adequate controls should be in place to prevent the server from being hijacked by spammers.
Search for ISP, "mail hosting", "port 80"; you will have a lot of trawling to do.
Unless it's state mandated, get yourself another ISP.
You could also VPN to a friend's box who is not firewalled at 25, then pull your mail across the VPN...
most broadband isp's now(at least in US) are blocking port 25 from users because of the various virii/worms out there designed to turn hapless computers into spam proxy relays..[:)]
Thanks for the update; that is sheer insanity, considering how many mail clients send directly via SMTP. At least you should be able to request that they back off that filter.
And yet, many still do not block NetBIOS by default...
Take a look at some of the Dynamic DNS update places. I know one of them (don't know if dropping the name on here is legal or not, have to review the rules again) has a service that will help you out for a reasonable price.
