This is my second attempt to post. The first didn't seem to make it thru for some reason. Sorry if you see a similar post from me elsewhere...
I have just downloaded and installed Astaro into an old box of mine. The install appeared to go well but I can not communicate with the Astaro box from my other PC. I am attempting to use my old linksys cable/dsl router to connect the local side of my network together. I disabled the DHCP service on the router so that the linksys box would not attempt to respond to the DHCP requests. Has anyone used the linkys router without connecting the WAN side? Should I just go out and buy a standard router and forget about salvaging the old linksys cable/dsl router for this purpose? This is just a small home network.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert
