Can't DL large objects w/VPN

I've got a PPTP VPN set up, and it all works fine, EXCEPT - I can't view large objects in Internet Explorer. I'm pretty sure it's MTU related; and I've set the MTU on my Windoze box to 1400 (according to the MS KB); but still no joy. I see a whole lot of (network) activity; and then just 10 byte packets moving between the systems.

Do I need to set an MTU size on the ASL side as well?

Try to set your client to MTU 1300. Using VPNs you have to set astoundingly low MTUs sometimes.

Normally you do not have to change the MTU on ASL, but you could try the following:
/var/chroot-pptp/etc/ppp/options
Change "mtu" and "mru" to 1480.
Disable and Enable PPTP via Webadmin.

Did you changed the MTU to 1300 on the client or on ASL? I guess on the client.

Yep - Windoze client-side was all I had to change
