manually restart a pppoe connection

How can i manually restart a pppoe connection? [:S]
/sbin/init.d/pppoe start gives me "can not find /etc/pppoe.conf"

    Rondo,
    change to the directory /etc/wfe/conf and edit the file itf.conf. There you will find your pppoe interface. Set the status from 1 to 0 and save the file. If you make ifconfig you will see, that your connection is offline. To enable the connection edit the file again and set the status to 1.
