Serial PPP Connection

Has anyone tried using ASL with a PPP Dialup Connection (ala ISDN)?  I've got an ISDN TA, and I'd like to give it a shot (looks like all of the pieces are there).

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Caveats?

ASL isn't designed for using ISDN at all. So I think it will be very difficult to set this up.

Do a search for ISDN and you'll see posts from others who have compiled modules for their particular ISDN adapters. If you have the source for the adapter you should easily be able to compile the necessary module to use your card

Right - but my ISDN adaptor is external; so what I need to set up is a SERIAL PPP link - where ppp0 points at a serial port.

hi,
one way to do is to use an external router with an serial-ppp link on the first side and an ethernet link on the second side this works without "hacking" your asl and it works fine for me.

Cheap ? we use cisco for serial x-21 connection and dlink for a isdn connection.
