Client-side certificates on the webadmin

Hi !

I wonder if it's possible to authenticate the admin user of the webadmin through a client-side certificate. Having 30+ ASL to manage, it would be great if I could access them without typing passwords?

    Hmm. I guess that's not possbile with ASL.

    You could use the passwordmanager from Mozilla or IE. By using this you have to type in your password ony once.

    Regarding the password hassle thing, I've been suggesting to Astaro that inexpensive USB token access (perferably one that changes the password in a series or based on a time hash) would be great; no hassle, more secure than a certificate cached on the machine, AND more secure than typing (keystroke loggers anyone?).

    I actually have a password protected usb pen drive that I keep on my car keyring that has my pgp keys and client certificates.  What I don't like about it is how in IE have to import the client certificates and they are stored on the computer.  I'd rather be able to make IE find them on the pen drive and I can take them with me like my PGP keys.

    This may be one of the issues along with lack of time...

    I made a suggestion to the USB manufacturer Dekart that their USB device could generate a changing key through a mini virtuial file system on the token.

    Barring that, visit a web site and install IE plug-in code...
