Request for automatic change of definition

In "Definitions-Networks" i have

Name: Admin PC, IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Subnet mask 255.255.255.255

I would like to change IP address for this definition, but I can't because

   This network cannot be edited. It appears in several configurations and must fullfill special requirements. Here is a list of all occurences:
SSH Allowed Networks (System->Settings)
WebAdmin Allowed Networks (System->Settings)
Portscan Detection
NAT/Masquerading (uneditable)
 
How automate of this process?

    use groups.
    you can add and remove ips from groups regardless of their use.

    Now I  use "Network Groups" for 1 IP address [;)]

    but i still can't use "Network Groups" for:

    SSH Allowed Networks (System->Settings)
    WebAdmin Allowed Networks (System->Settings)
    PortScan Detection - PSD Network Exclusion

    I understand, that I can't change definiotion with ip if I have rules or if I have any nats to this definiotion but why this job (deletes rules or nats and add new) can't do it automaticly some script?

    We have a quite reasonable feature request!

    [Numerous others have asked the same question: "If they can send a man to the moon, why can't they make a version of Astaro that allows you to modify your network definitions without having to remove references made to them?"]

    The Group workaround is clever, but as you point out has its limitations. That's a heck of a snare though: that new users go and define and reference everything, only to find out that they did it the 'wrong' way...

    I agree!!

    This would be a huge improvement. I have many DNAT/SNAT rules and every time i want to change an IP i have to delete the rule and then modify the definition and then recreate the rule. I and many others would appreciated if this feautre was implemented.

    Hi,
    an other way you could try is define a new admin-pc change the configuration to the new admin-pc and then delete the old admin-computer from the definitions. yes, its not an elegant way to do it  but if you make it like this you dont forget a point in the configuration that you have deleted befor you could rename.
