NO e-mail notification by portscan !

I'm having the same problem. It worked with previous versions (4.008) but when i applied all the up2dates, (up to 4.015) it stopped working. 
  

I have seen posts saying it's a known bug and also other post that say it is logged and you can see them in your log files, but you just don't get the email. 

OK,  it's a known bug. But I don't have the time to check  everytime the log-file. This feaature was one of the reasons to use ASL! 

I can image how youd don't have time to look at the log knowing how often portscanning goes on.  Daily review of a logs should be a standard practice or at least have something that will parse out the good stuff.

just out of curiousity, what are you going to do with an IP when when someone port scans you from it? 

Check out where it came from and if it's several time from the same ip I'll take my actions to it, also with smtp-relay; portscans & smtp abuse are not things to help people but just for abuse or annoying people!  

You must keep very, very busy.  Hopefully they will have it fixed soon.

I needed to reinstall 4.0.17 to get my email notification back.  When I updated to 4.0.17 from 4.0.16 it stopped  the email notification.
