I am very intrested to protect my upcoming 2 DNS servers, at least 1 webserver, 1 mail server.
The questions is:
1.
Can I put the DNS servers that goint to serve my domainname (for t ex :
www.domainname.nu) inside the firewall (I meant with port forwarding or on some other way) or do I need to put it in the DMZ. And if they need to be in the DMZ, does it have any protection in that Zone or is it open to the entire internet?
2.
One question that have with question 1 to do: How to company's normally have the DNS and webservers and so on to work with the internet? Do they have the servers outside the firewalls or within. I think every webservers stands inside the firewall, but does it stands in the DMZ then?
3.
The SMTP through the Astaro Linux Security and the virus protection SMTP to that system. Does it works to an Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 server ? ( Even if i think so, I want to be completely sure. )
Thanx for now.
