Password issue

Hi Everyone,

I got a really strange problem on my ASL 4.015.
When I try to logon with IE 6.0 I get bad password message.
If I try to logon with Mozilla 1.4, he gives me no error.

I triple checked the passwords, which I keyed in correctly.

I began to test and it seems that ASL does not translate/handles the µ sign in the same way with IE 6.0 and Mozilla.

So if I create a user in ASL with Mozilla and use the µ sign in the password, I need to logon with mozilla. IE 6.0 gives me bad password.  [:S] 

If I create my users while using Mozilla as browser and I use the µ sign in my password, VPN access is denied as well...

    Which reminds me of a joke: I said, "Doctor, it hurts when I do this!" He said, "Don't do this!"

    Enough levity! IE is probably transmitting the Unicode character, whereas the other browsers are mapping it to ASCII (just a theory!). So Astaro is getting multi characters, perhaps? Can you enter that character somewhere else (a network definition name? an email address?); then we could 'see' how Astaro is seeing the characters by looking under the hood.

    But frankly, I'd just forget about using that character for now if I don't have time to hunt this down...
