No commands seem to be recognized from console ??

I logged on to the console using "loginuser" and su to "root", to have a look and maybe handtrim some things, but it seem that I have litterally no permissions/access as root  [:S]

Even the CD-command responses "command not found".

Trying to switch to another partition resultet in "acess denied"  

I would like to edit the config-file for Squid - where du I find it and how do I do it?

I'm running 4.015 ....

    Tnx a lot !!    It would have been nice if the Astaro-team hadn't stripped the possibility to "surf" using CD.. etc. 

    Is there anywhere I can find the whole filestrukture? (or havn't I read the DOCs well enough?

    I see people asking these questions all the time and people providing the answers, but I don't know any documentation on the file structure.  other people are probably using find as well.

     cd seems to work as it's supposed to on my ASL box.  Maybe you have another problem?

    I would strongly advise you back up your configuration, reinstall; and restore; that is extremely aberrant behavior. Better yet (IF you have the spare hardware), cut in another box and start doing a post mortem on that one (conferring with us here to figure out what it was).

    The Astaro Linux is tough as nails, but all it will take is a keystroke logger on your web administrative or putty sessions to get control of the box, and somebody starts monkeying around with it. That is why it is extremely important to use such configuration clients from a secure machine (ideally, a stripped laptop you rarely use, keep offline most of the time, and thus do not infect with Internet interaction).

    P.S. Don't forget to do your new install and change your passwords from a 'clean' client workstation!!
