Strange Packets

Hi there!

Anyone knows what kind of application scans TCP port number 2845? I only found that it is an "BPCP TRAP"... But what the hell is BPCP? I found nothing on the web! Perhaps one of you knows...

there is a bpcp poll too that runs on 2844. I couldn't find anything either. do you have packet dump? maybe it's something common running on different port?

No, it came from various outside adresses! 33 different IPs to be precise...

if don't have a packet dumpt to further diagnose the problem why don't you just explicitly block those ports if you have not done so already.

They are blocked, of course! I just wanted to know whether it's an attack or just traffic hitting the wrong IP...
