about smb

Hello ,
In our network we have two different  internal network segments: one is 192.168.0.* and another is 10.10.*.*. 
We need to allow some of  windows machines in the first network to communicate to some computers in the second network. I added netbios-***  and Micrsofot-SMB protocols
in firewall rules but it didnt work. Is there somethng I missed?

    You missed that the MS network neighborhood uses broadcast packets, and broadcasts are not routed. You need a WINS server or an additional piece of software for that. Other users had that problem too; a good starting point might be  this posting .
