Backup and local users ?

Hello,

I need to reinstall my Astaro, but keep my settings. My question is what exactly does the backup feature backup and will it backup my over 200 local users and passes as well ? If it doesnt backup my users, how can I still keep them ?

    Noone knows if backup backups any local user database ? I cant try this and wipe my whole system, nor can I find anything relevant in the manual.

    Tokra!

    Last bigger update I did from 3.2 to v 4. There I made backup of setting and formated whole system. I then installed new system and restored backup file to new system. I only had a small problems with backup file which I made from webadmin, but with that one which I got as automatic backup per mail, was working without problems.
    I manadged to keep all users and their passwords. Also all settings for keypass fo VPN were kept.

    Thank you for your reply. I made mail backup as well just to be sure.

    You can check what you are doing backup since the .abf files are .tar.bz2 files so got TAR and BZIP2 programs for you operating system and have a look into the .abf file. Off course you need to do a rename from .abf to .tar.bz2
