I have a few questions regarding the licensing rules for Astaro Security Linux.
The license limits on ASL seem to be some arbitrary round numbers. They bear no resemblance to the numbers that system admins work with, such as netmasks and CIDR based subnets. How does the logic work - if I have, say, a subnet with 128 addresses, but only 15 machines in that subnet, do I need a license for the next step up from the 100 IP address limit?
What happens after the license period expires? Does the system stop working or will it not accept updates?
Sorry if the answers are contained in FAQs or documentation. I am happy to RTFM, but could not find these answers.
Thanks.
