LDAP + Password in cleartext

Hi,
Question is between which points this cleartext is send?
Between LDAP-Server and Firewall or between Firewall and Remote-Client or both?
Is the RADIUS-Server sending the password in cleartext too??

    Between LDAP server and firewall.

    Radius, configured correctly, is secure end-to-end.

    You can also do LDAP SSL to be secure (Astaro does not do it; yet?), but most shops use Radius for remote authentication (security vendors trust Radius implementations more than they do operating system vendor LDAP APIs, since Radius is a simpler API...)
