After the upgrade I haven't been able to log into squirrelmail, freshmeat.net or emusic.com, but phpbb forums and my internet bank among other logon forms worked fine. I tried i.e 6 (6.0.2800.1106), firebird 0.6 and firebird 0.61 all on win98se with all patches applied.
I was also denied access to the windows update site with a message telling me that I needed to use windows and internet explorer to access the site.
I tried rebooting the asl box, clearing the proxy-cache, restarting the proxy, cleraring the browser files and everything else i could think of. The problems were still there
After reading some posts on the forum just a few minutes ago I decided to logon here (really hoping forit to work) to post about the problem. These boards are usually slow to login to for me so I jumped to another browser window with freshmeat.net while waiting. I hit update to see if anything new had arived and when the page was reloaded I was logged in (I've cheched the remember me box) I imidietly tried the other sites and eveything worked like a charm.
I'm just as confused as before but a lot happier
btw. I'm going away for the weekend so I might not be able to reply to any questions about this, actually I'm not sure I'm even capable of giving any more information than I already have here.
