New Admin with no historical info

I just picked up administrative duties to this Astaro FW, I haven't used one before. The admin password is not currently available anywhere. I am trying to find out if there is a reset feature to get into admin account and reset the password?

    Hi,

    there is no reset passwort... You can try if you get access via ssh and the loginuser account. But that needs the loginuser and root passwort. Maybe the ssh is disable as well.

    Another thing to look for: the Astaro can sent a backup of the configuration via email. Perhaps that feature is enable and you can find a recent configuration file. In that case, you could reinstall the FW and apply the configuration....

    Please test at a secondary machine first :-)

    if you can login via ssh or on the console you can reset your admin password by editing 

    /etc/wfe/conf/settings

    change 'reset_pwd' from 0 to 1

    and reconnect to webadmin. reenter your passwords
