Please read my prev post. The syslog facility of the pop3 proxy is "mail" therefore the logs end up in the /var/log/mail There seems to be a bug in the webadmin which causes these to bew displayed in SMTP log rather then POP3 log. The proc that is making the entry is called mrpopper.
