PPPOA and AMX-CA61E

I have a AMX-CA61E (Conexant chipset) and I presently connect to Astaro using the routers dynamic NAPT function. I would like to offload the NATing to the fw and so I  have tried using the 1483 bridged IP LLC bridge function on the ADSL modem and using PPPOA PPTP on the fw, this is without success. Has anybody been able to connect this router in bridge mode to Astaro.

    Hi,
    Have a look at your packet logs and see if traffic on port 1723 (pptp) is getting dropped to the modem. If it is then you have the same problem that I did and you need to add an extra rule to stop this from happening.

    If this is what is happening then I can let you know how astaro support told me to fix it. Mine works perfectly now.

    Cheers but I have sorted it now, the adsl router supports half bridged mode which does the job which I was looking for. In this mode the router runs DHCP and astaro picks up the external ISP assigned IP on the NIC card. Nating is now done via the firewall.
