ASL 4.007 on DSL PPPoE. ddclient installed and working but it dies before or during an IP change. Sympatico in Canada is clever enough to force an IP change sometimes every day.
When the IP changes I notice that ddclient isn't running anymore. Sometimes it is not running when I spot check it. When I start it back up it updates DNS no problem.
BTW, when the IP changes the IPSEC VPNs reconnect which is a good thing. But non VPN inbound traffic is lost until ddclient updates.
Is there a better solution for ASL or a way to keep it running?
