I know, it's an old version of Astaro, but how can I properly clear old logs at /var/log?  [:$]
I've been doing rm * and rmdir * at every branch of the accounting folder, but that doesn't seem to be enough. What other folders consume large amounts of space? And what can I remove safely without losing logging from the last 3 or so months?

I'm a noob at linux so please do not respond with scripts or advanced linux commands unless there's a description for every step of the way. In the past I wasn't able to work with that either, although I tried - hard.

    I'm assuming I'm the only one with this problem?
    Support "back in the days" ment getting an answer, sometimes even by Astaro-staff.

    We are currently considering upgrading but have serious doubts about support, since we have no internal linux knowledge. Please convince me otherwise.

    Hi,

    are you using a free home user licence or did you buy a commercial one ?
    In second case, i don't think that you need to be in  doubt of support, because you can get direct mail contact with Astaro Support Team.
    For every problem i had with them i normally got the answer within the same day !!
    (And i GOT answers which REALLY solved my problems, which is nowadays not naturally  [;)] )

    If you are a free user, you can post here in the forum but (Board members: please don't misunderstood !!) this is 'only' a free member board of ASL users and customers.
    Everybody tries to help each other, but it can happen in rare and special cases that it takes days to get an answer, or you don't get an answer which satisfies you.
    But i think about 80% of your questions can be answered here (or they are already answered if you search around deep enough).

    You should give the new version of ASL a try, the new features are really worth it !!
