Accounting

After testing the accounting option I decided to switch it off, but I am always getting "Accouting not running" emails. Why the heck is it warning me all the time - it is switched off everywhere.

Do you have a nic installed that is not connected? I read that that could be a "problem"

Try this command,

touch /etc/no-superdaemon/nacctd

That must do it for V4.0

I have the same problem, accounting doesn't work. I use version 4.107 (AMD supported).
I've touched the file /etc/no-superdaemon/nacctd. After restarting the accounting processes, I missed the file again.
Any idea?

Hi Marcel,

search around the board for "Accounting not running, you will get several results:

[INF 105] Accounting not running ???
Accounting Not Working
a lot of [INF 104] Accounting not running
and so on ....

.... hope will be fixed some day .........
