I've just been through a process of looking at Firewalls for a specific purpose. The site was a datacentre and I was looking for a datacentre wide firewall. Astaro didn't unfortunately fit. However looking back the two "killer" features that were required for the firewall were:
1. VLAN (802.1Q) Support
2. Support for Virtual firewalls (linked to the VLAN support)
Now Option 2 above would obviously seem to require a major amount of work - but how difficult would option 1 be?
