Crash Recovery

Is there a possibility to create a sort of disk image on a CD to have a easy crash recovery system ?

The Idea is : when you install Astaro and then patch and patch and patch and so on... when you have to re-install you have to repatch all again (I don't talk about the configuration that is backed up), so should be easy to create a CD that could be used to restore.

I'm in version 4.

    HI!

    I see nearlly no reason for this, because instalation, patching some up2dates and restoring takes you all together less then 20 minutes.

    But if you want to have always the littlest possible up2dates to download from astaro site, you can download whole ISO when new up2date comes.

    I use amanda on openbsd. you might be able to compile it on an astaro box and have amanda backup the hd's to an image and then push that image to a nfs mount somewhere where you can then use nero to burn to cd.
