boot failure asl 4.02

in Manual ASL 4.02 on Page 18 is written:

3.1. System Requirements
The requirements for installing and using this security system
are:
Hardware
• Processor: Intel Pentium II or compatible
• 128 MB RAM
• 8 GB IDE or SCSI hard drive
• Bootable IDE or SCSI CD-ROM drive
• 2 or more PCI network cards
• For wireless LAN access: a wireless LAN PCMCIA card with the
Prism2 chipset (or compatible).

Maybe Your HD is too small??

razigal, No the hard drive is not in LBA mode, It's a SCSI drive.

Yes, I was concerned about the drive space, I keep a pretty close eye on available space, there seems to be plenty, prior to the lock up anyway.
But here is an update, after leaving the machine off since my post, I just lit it up and it booted fine. 
The problem is not astaro, but perhaps heat or some other hardware related problem. Therefore it would be off topic for this list.
Many thanks to all of the suggestions, I believe this to be a great product and have recommended it many times.
(kudo's to the developers)
I'll rebuild on a 9.1 gig SCSI anyway and troubleshoot my hardware issues.

Here's an update in case anyone was curios:
I just pulled the cover off and both CPU fans were dead.
