Astaro freeze while booting up

I installed astaro security linux 4 successfully and rebooted the system. than the linux ist starting up and the following text appears:

"trying to move old root to /initrd ... failed
Unmounting old root
Trying to free ramdisk memory ... okay
freeing unused kernel memory: 76k freed"

after this nothing else happens. only the "cursor" is blinking.

  • Hi razigal,

sorry for telling you this, ASL V4 currently doesn't support Pentium I (i586) Architecture. The support for this hopefully come with one of the next Updates of the Installation ISO-Image. I've seen that you are using an AMD K6 on your earlier post.

    bye
