AMD K6/II 500 not supported??

on a system with 128 MB RAM the linux boot process stops
"freeing unused kernel memory"
a friend of mine has the SAME cpu and it runs - with 256 MB though.
is this hangup really due to the processor?

Yeah.. Pentium1, K6, K6-2 and some others I believe have this issue.

Se the other threads for more info.

We've been told they are going to fix it for older cpu's, but we'll se what it comes to ;-)
