Hi,

When a service on the DMZ (Like http or ftp) is unvalaible, because a hardware failure or other, the Asl software could send a message in Html format.

P.S.: I'm still waiting (with pacience) for the Asl 4.00 for Pentium I.

    Let the firewall do only firewall.  You can pickup a PII for pennies.  Take that old P1 and make it an internal monitoring/reporting server, no GUI needed.  Have it run snmp, http, and some monitoring tools.  You can even have ASL send log data to this machine.  Build a web interface for viewing reports and to report failures.

    I find even a lower end PII an excellent ASL box for a smaller company.  My PII 350 performs wonderfully and is better than a higher speed Celeron.  PI is the internal reporting machine and print server.
