kavdaemon reported error

Hello again,

i found another message in the logfiles (incoming Mail):
exim .date.time.mailid. temporarily rejected by exiscan(): temporary local problem (kavdaemon reported error (retcode8))
then follows the messageheader (from,to,subject etc.)
The message was not delivered.
What does this message mean and how can i fix it ?

P.S. this errormessage occours with different Mails from different Users/Domains

    Confirmed. It's a scalability problem with the virus scanner daemon.

    I guess your installation does a bit more mail than average ?

    Please try to apply a temporary fix by adding the line

    smtp_accept_max = 5

    on top of the file /va/chroot-smtp/etc/exim.conf-default, then stop and start the SMTP proxy in WebAdmin.

    Hi Tom,

    that fixed it.
    Yes, its an Enterprise-Mailrelay with a little bit of Mailtraffic 
    ;-)

    same problem here.I'll try your fix.
    Should it in the first line?
    Report will follow tomorrow.
    We're running a company network and sometimes our users send out newsletters etc. so the traffic is not really average  [;)]

    Supplement:
    Didn't fix the problem. I fixed it with disabling the online scan.
