I tried to ssh to my machine today (ASL 3.216) and the crazy thing comes back "Permission denied, please try again" and invites me to re-enter my password. I've tried both as user root, admin, and my own userid, all of which are in the system as local users, and two of which (admin and me) I routinely use to access WebAdmin so I know the passwords are good. I can also log on at the console as root or admin; just not SSH. I've checked thru WebAdmin and SSH is acceptable from my internal network.
What am I missing?
