WebAdmin is getting timeout

Hi everybody,

installed ASL 4.000 on a Pentium 650 machine, 512MB memory, 16GB hard disk.
Using 4 x 3C905C-TX cards.
(Nearly) everything works fine, but from time to time the WebAdmin seems to hang up.
Timeout is set to 3600 seconds, so that is not the problem. Also the WebAdmin is not accessed via Proxy.

When WebAdmin is open, it suddenly happens that on selection of another menue the browser seem not to react anymore until 'Page cannot displayed' is shown.

After doing /sbin/init.d/httpd restart everything works fine again.

This happens in different menues and/or after viewing live log(s).

Anyone any idea ??

I'm encountering the same. Hadn't had any such problems prior to upgrading to 4.000 and subsequently the 4.001. It has always been in conjunction with live logs.

have you upgradet to version 4.001?

If yes try to change the webadmin port to 443 and try if it's o.k!

After that you verified if it works change the webadmin port back to your default port.

Thank you eldorado,

yes, i upgraded the day 4.001 came out and
no, i didn't change the default port of WebAdmin, it was all the time 443.

But tomorrow i will visit my customers firewall administrator and check if it's gone meanwhile.

I have the same problem with asl 4.001. After I restart the httpd everything works fine again. Probably a bug wich isn't fixed in asl 4.001.

Same here.
Seems to have gottne worse since i bumped the admin timeout for loggoff from 300 to 1800
