to much memory for a single process

Too much memory for a single process:
32120 kb for /usr/local/bin/fwlogwatch -d -f /var/log/kernel-20030218.gz -P n -b -m 5 -t -e -n -N -p

 can someone say me what does it mean and help me to resolve this thx in advance , i have 1GO RAM

with Astaro professional version 3.216

    I received this message this morning. From reading other posts I have concluded the following.

    1. My kernel log grow because I ran port scan on my ASL box to check open ports.

    2. I have never seen this because my win2k WIns server is set to 0x8(hybrid) so every one queries the wins server instead of broadcast.

    3. I do not have any drop rules defined. I may define them in order decrease my log file size.

    I will monitor for a few days to see if it continues. My port scan is completed so things should go back to normal
