Hardening?

Finally installed the up2date for v4... And to my surprise theres no "hardening" anymore (it was there in 3.380).

Is this feature gone for good or ???

And if it's gone then PRETTY please get a snort included [;)]

What do you mean by hardening, ie: the OS is not hardened by removing unneeded services etc. Or something else

It still seems to be there.

I have a clean install of 4.0 and the 'hardening' init.d script is there as well as the chroot-ahi dir...
What is does? I don't know, I'm not familiar with 'ahi', I assume it would be a type of IDS system?

Sterion, care to extrapolate? [:)]
