- which version of ASL are you using? - does the error affect the main webadmin window or the small seperate window? - if it appears in the small window, which network tool did you click/use and what did you fill into the ip-field?
Hi This was a separate popup window which appeared when I clicked on Tools in Network menu. I am using Version 4. I was able to close this window and continue with what I was doing. It only appeared when I clicked on Tools from viewing a different page. The Tools screen did not have any entries in the fields. I returned to Webadmin about a half hour later and it seems to be fine now. I cannot recreate the problem. I will try to retrace my steps and see if it comes back. Is there anything I should be looking for? If I can be of any help. Norm
Ok, I think I know what I did. I was testing to see if my firewall was seeing my ftp server.
I logged into WebAdmin Selected anything on any menus including Tools, no problem.
Went back to Tools and did a TCP connect. Selected TCP connect, Host: 192.168.xxx.xxx, TCP port 21 Clicked on Start and got the following:
Tue Feb 4 17:56:35 CST 2003
192.168.xxx.xxx: inverse host lookup failed: Unknown host (UNKNOWN) [192.168.1.100] 21 (ftp) open 220 xxxxxx FTP-Server v1.xx for WinSock ready... net timeout sent 3, rcvd 50 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONE
Now getting this error is ok with me as I was not trying to log in but just making sure the firewall was seeing my ftp server. Then if I go to any other menu options and back to Tools, I get the following:
Tue Feb 4 17:57:35 CST 2003
ERROR - Keine Korrekte CGI Werte uebergeben! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONE
I guess if I leave it alone for a while it clears up. Restarting the firewall also clears the error. Logging out does not clear this problem. I can recreate this again and again. Hope this helps.
Interesting. Further playing with this I find that it does not matter what I put in the Host section. I entered www.astaro.com port 80 When I hit Start, the Astaro Home page came up but just before it there was something about unknown host message. It was too fast to see. From that point on, if I select any other menu item then go back to Tools, this same error pops up. ERROR - Keine Korrekte CGI Werte uebergeben! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONE Again if I leave it be for a while, the error is no longer displayed unless I do another TCP connect.
Also I should point out that I am using version 4.00 (not beta) which I downloaded a few days ago. At least it does not say beta. Other than that, I do like this software. Have not had any other issues. Norm
