pppoe and t-online

its a nice problem with the astaro 3.2x and pppoe

after german t-online disconnect the interface message is --> down

from the astaro works ping and traceroute
(?? interface is up ??)

from the network works nothing
(?? no routing cause message interface is down ??)

i mean its a problem with restarting of the pppoe

after reboot all works fine
--> interface is up and working

need help cause i have 4 astaros with t-online
and all 24 h

    I had the same problem. I was able to trace it down to the AUTO_NAT_POST rules missing after a PPPoE-disconnection (where there was 'LAN to anywhere over ppp0 -> masquerade' before).

    After applying the latest updates yesterday I haven't seen this problem since. So maybe it was fixed with the SNAT/DNAT problem mentioned in the release notes.

    Could you please post what is displayed for "Chain AUTO_NAT_POST" in "Packet Filter" -> "Filter LiveLog" -> "Current NAT rules"?

    On my machine, the line containing 
    "MASQUERADE  all  --  *      ppp0    192.168.1.0/24       0.0.0.0/0" was lost after a PPPoE disconnect. If there is no entry in that chain when you can't access the internet, then the masquarading rules are screwed up. That was the problem for me, but since I updated to 3.216 the machine runs without any problems for more than three days, and T-Online should have disconnected us during that time.

    If that rule is still disappearing on your machine, Astaro will at least know what happened and should be able to fix it quickly.

    Until that, just post the entry in that chain from when you can use the internet and from when you cannot use the internet (if they are the same, it won't help as the problem lies elsewhere). Of course you can change your LAN subnet if you want to.
