Hey all.

I was told about Astaro 2 nights agoo. So I came home and started hammering away at downloading your iso on my 56k connection. [yes, i know you dont supposet dialup. ADSL will be comin in a couple of weeks]

Tonight i found out that the home version only supports 3 ifs  [:(]

hen i found that it only lets me have 10 internal IPs .. my networks bigger than that .. all pcs need to have access thru this box. 

I am wondering if there is any way of getting support for more IFs and IPs ... I know there is a power user licence, but according to one of Toms posts, theres no way in hell I will get it with 1 post ...

Put it this way. I love the look of your product. It seems to be the best one I have found yet, and the demo site is very promising. But Im on a tight budget, and so I doubt I will be able to buy it. But if I could at least play with it, I can recommend it to my supiriors and our companies clients. Not being able to test it is a huge let down, and is potentially a loss of money from our company and our clients.

Thanks for the awesome product, but id prefer to put all my eggs in one basket and get something i can thouroghly test and learn off.

    The 10 IP limit is not hard coded, it is only a legal limit.

    OK, well, I just installed it, and after getting the 2 ISA NICs up and running I am pretty happy with it  [:)] 

    I could do a dodgey on astaro and just use it with more PCs anyway, but i dont want to do that ... and id hate to have to go back to useing smoothwall full time [box is still there sharing out a net conn. to the astaro box, which lets me get access to my other networks and the net  [:)]

    Oooh .. sorry for the double post, but thanks for leaving the old ISA NIC drivers around even though you dont support them  [;)] 

    Id like to also say, I think the next install of Astaro should be on a little bit faster PC     [check my sig] Im just used to the over rated minimum specs.     so hehe oh well

    Also, is there a reason for not including PPP? is it just that you aimed your product at a larger audience than us home users? Even if I was in a small buisness id love to be able to keep a 56k conn as a backup  [:(]ons .. oh well.
