What does IP aliases count as?

Hi

We run a servercamp with some 50-60 web/mail/dns servers and so on and would like to use astaro to firewall these machines, but i can't figure out what licence will fit this.

We plan to do this by using an IP alias for each machine.

Does a IP alias count as a secured IP, or as a NIC? If aliases are covered by the NIC limit, what licence do you have then, because the ones i have seen only cover up to 20 NIC's?

    an alias doesn't count as NIc, only physical NICs do. The Astaro licensing includes all IPs behind the firewall, count all your active IPs and you know which license you need. ISP/ASP licensing is different.
