Novell Client can't connect

Is there anyone using novell client over different interface from their novell server? I hit the problem whereas those PCs on the same interface with the novell server can login to the server. But those PCs on different interface can't login to the novell server! PLS HELP!!! 
I'm using Novell 5 with TCp/IP supported.

    Do you allow the SLPs through the firewall?  did you install DAs on both sides?  Netware relies on SLP broadcasts to find things, check your logs for rule violations...

    roland, how do i go about on checking the SLP on the firewall? and wats DAs btw? thanks.

    DA = Directory Agent, they're "NDS Helpers" ...

    SLP.. don't remember which port, to make sure that's it, jus tput an "any any any" rule as #1 give it a few seconds, reboot the nwclient and retry, if it still can't connect, then it's probably not because of missing rules...

    Novell has provided the following documentation to help with SLP issues.

    To get you started, SLP uses Port 427, usually UDP and if that's not available TCP, so to allow traffic through your firewall you have to create a rule for SLP traffic.

    To verify your DA is operational on your Novell server type "display slp da".  If you make any changes to SLP settings on the server, issue the command "set slp reset=on".  

    On the workstation, if the Novell client fails to find a DA on boot up it will not find the DA at all, therfore you will need to reboot the client until it finds a DA.  If you are using DHCP to give your clients IP addresses, you can add the DA address as one of your DHCP attributes your clients receive and you novell client will know what to do with the information.

    I've experimented a little bit with NetWare 6 pure-IP. The main problem seems to be that the NetWareclient tries to find the server by sending an IGMP-multicastmessege which normally will be replied by the Server. Mulicastmessages will not be handled by ASL, so the client get no response.

    When I tried to login to the server by it's IP-adress it get's success - but it will login only via Bindary-mode. After relogin I get an NDS-connection, whitch works perfect.

    For this case we configured the Services as followed below:
    NCP: TCP/UDP S-Port:1024:65535 D-Port: 524
    NTP: has allready been configured as static-service
    SLP: TCP/UDP S-Port:427 D-Port: 427
    CMD-TCP: TCP/UDP S-Port:1024:65535 D-Port: 2302
    CMD-UDP: TCP/UDP S-Port:2645 D-Port: 2645
