Im trying out astaro but i have a problem my log files on my web server which is sat behind the firewall show all the requests have come from the ip address of the firewall and not from the user. Is there anyway the firewall can pass the requests with the originating IP so my web logs show the correct info?

    Thanks for replying, im not sure what more info you want but ill try to provide some we have 1 machine set up with asl on it and we have another machine behind it with a webserver on it. Astaro is set so that the Pre DNAT destination is the firewalls ip address for port 80 and the Post DNAT destination is the web servers ip address on port 80 the traffic comes through the firewall fine but the webservers logs show that all the traffic is from the firewalls ip address and not from the person who tried to hit the website. The server running behind the ASL machine is running Win 2k and IIS. If anyone needs any more info just ask and ill try to post any thing else i can.

    sounds if you run the http proxy in transparent mode.
    In this operation mode all packets directed to port 80
    will be redirected to the local process squid.
