Problem with a connection from 127.0.0.1 to www.google.de

Hello ,

my Firewall connects every five seconds from 127.0.0.1 to www.google.de, why ?
127.0.0.1 is the local loopback port, why does my firewall builds a connection to google ? 
I restarted the firewall but the problem still exists. 
How can I find out which process builds the connection ? How can I stop this process ?
This problem makes about 40MB traffic per day, so has anybody a idea to solve this problem.

    Hi Thor, since some days i have the same problem und my logfiles are full with messages like the one below. Hope somebody can give us a hint in this forum.

    The connects are caused by the selfmonitor. It connects to the proxy and sends it the request from 

    /etc/wfe/conf/control.request

    If the proxy replies something (anything) the squid is considered to be alive (as opposed to the squid not reacting and being all... dead in which casi it is restarted)

    You can stop this by editing the 
    /etc/wfe/conf/control.request
    file to connect to, say 127.0.0.1:8081 or grable it so that the request fails. Other way is to disable squid and surfprotection checks by touching

    /etc/no-superdaemon/surfprotection
    /etc/no-superdaemon/squid

    i'm not able to do any commandline things, because the ASL-Box isn't in my office.
    Isn't there a solution for the asl webinterface? 
    Pls not the switchoff surfprotection solution because customer pays money for it, and he wants it.

    Hi,

    if you enable the SSH Access in System:Settings, you can connect to your ASL via SSH (windows users can use putty or WinSSH), so you can work on the command line from your office :-)
