Hi. We have a small problem with our DHCP server on the ASL. When I set the IP range in webadmin to .63 -> .254, it just resets it to .1 -> .254, which kinda cause problems for us as we have .1-.62 reserved for other purposes.
I tried stopping the DHCP service, and edited /var/chroot-dhcps/etc/dhcpd.conf manually to set the range. But when I start DHCP again, it's back to .1. Quite annoying, as we end up having to reset the DHCP and nuke the lease-file every now and then to release the IP's it has given out below .63 - we're a ISP and our customers hate us [;)]
Since we also need to serve multiple interfaces, I'm thinking about setting up a separate DHCP server on this net. But I'm uncertain as to how much integration You have done with the DHCP server. Will it cause any problems if I stop the DHCP on ASL and setup a external server?
This is ASL 3.212, if the version-number from the WebAdmin is representative for the ASL release.
