How do you mount a new drive, Floppy or CD?

This could be a really stupid question, however I'm not to most Linux savy administrator (mostly a Cisco admin, who is intrested in this Astaro). I had a nic card go bad on my evaulation firewall, and I need to load a driver to the device, but can't seem to mount a CDrom or Floppy to get the driver onto the box?! Any suggestions. (If there is a simply answer then please go easy on me =)...

    Think that this is not working if you have nic down  [:(]

    I have same problem: my nic is down and i need to copy file to fw by floppy.

    I think that Astaro Engineers must think about a solution...

    Floppy is not supported. But ASL does include a fairly complete set of modules (drivers) for various network cards. So it should work to exchange the card(s) (more than one network interface should be there, anyway) and change the module settings in /etc/modules.conf.
    If you need more help on this, search the UBB for "installation of additional NIC" or similar, there have been quite a few postings about that.

    I don´t know if I remeber well but mounting a harddisk (ext-formated) should work.

    BTW: what kind of firewall do you run that has only one nic? :-)
