Hi,
I've searched the forums and found a few answers to my problems, but I really want to clarify one thing (ok 2 things :-))
I was curious as to how Astaro 3.2 will react with the renewal of dhcp leases and the firewall setup?
As I was trying ClarkConnect before and that was fine except that it was very limited
(probally ok for the average home user),
but if I wanted to add few more specific rules, I had to edit /etc/r.d/rc.firewall by hand, which was the whole idea of getting a console/web based firewall (not to edit files by hand :-)).
Basically I'm using broadband and get my firewall external IP from dhcp from my ISP,
will Astaro reload the firewall ruleset on the renewal of the lease?
or will it just carry on running (with the same ip address as before the lease renewal)
and then once my lease has epired, just refuse any connection out?
I have tried to make all rules as non IP specific as possable,ie using interface rather than IP number to restrict the chance of this happening.
Mark
