There ar emany competitors of ASL. I have ASL running on networks as small as 5 and as large as 125. I have not been able to find a firewall that has all these features and reliabilty for the same price. I especially like th afact that I can recover a clients firewall in less that 30 minutes. If and when it fails.
True story: Last week I had a client, a 25 IP licenses with AV. I have network monitoring agreement with them. I noticed, dirung standard checks, a read/write problem on the drive on a Tuesday night. The firewall ran until Saturday with a failed drive. No other firewall that I know of will do this.
When I arrived at thier site on Saturday I shut down the system, spent 20 minutes installing a new drive and 20 minutes later I restored a backup and re-registered the software. They were up and running within 1 hour of my arrival.
I have dealt with checkpoint, sonicwall and Norton none of these could do this. They all required a 24 hour ship time and on a Friday this would mean my client would be down for the weekend, unacceptable.
