writing log to /var/log/mail every time

Hello,
I have configured the astaro firewall and I can see that it's writing to the hard disk every time. It's writing logging information in the /var/log/mail file. Anybody knows why the firwall is always writing to this file and how to disable it ?

    Besides, what's the problem with logging data into a log file? That's what it is meant for :-)
    And it would be rather uncommon to disable that logging mechanismn ...
