test asl

hi,

I want to test my asl configuration with different attack.
How can I do ?
There is an software to test my firewall or a web site to audit my server's security ?
I am a junior administrator and my knowledges are limited in programation.

    yes there are some pages out there which do simple portscans - like Steve Gibson's grc.com or Sygate's Scan service.

    These are not really good tho. I recommend to run (from any Unix/Linux machine) nmap or even nessus against your firewall.

    If you want to check whether it's stable against the real bad guys with the real bad tools, check out the stuff on http://packetstormsecurity.nl/UNIX/penetration/rootkits/
     - but be warned. You should probably do a new setup of your box afterwards ;-)
