Ok, I have a K6-2 500 with two 3Com NICs, a Boomerang and a Cyclone. I've been testing out firewall solutions in my spare time and just today found this software.
Now, my test machine does not have a dedicated IP, it gets its internet address from DHCP.
The Cyclone is attached to my private desk LAN with a Powerbook and two win 2K machines, and the Boomerang is attached to a wall drop that runs to our offices 100BT switch then to our router and the outside...
We have a DHCP server that hands out public IP addresses, so if I can get the astaro configuration to recognize that interface and get a DHCP address, I should be fine.
The problem is, I configure the internal Cyclone NIC, and I cannot https into it from anywhere on my private LAN. I plugged my Powerbook into a spare drop and got a DHCP to post this...
What should the "network interface for administrative purposes" be set to? There is no gateway to set, this firewall _is_ the gateway for my desk LAN...
